Lindsay would like me to inform the blogging community that she has successfully peed on two states at once. More about that later.
Our camping was a little brisk. I tried to cuddle with Lindsay but apparently that just shoved her off the airmattress and she was not pleased. Given we were sort of alone in the woods, we both sleep good without the fear of critters. But chilly. We got up, which was difficult cause like I said it was cold. We decided not to change out of our warm layers, and just to pack up quickly and head out. The bathroom and showers were closed so we voted to just get out of the campground as quickly as possible and head to a gas station. We got everything packed up efficiently… although Lindsay gets mad at me cause I like to be speedy, and perhaps not always thorough. But I now know how to take down a tent and stake and unstake the sides… maybe I should start shopping at Bass Pro Shop. We got in the car, cued up “On The Road Again” (our first song choice of everyday) and headed out of dodge…taking a poorman’s shower on the road. Neutrogen face wipes and gum as a temporary solution before we could find running water. My hair was looking real mountainy so I found a brush while Lindsay took pictures of something…probably birds. Birds to people photo ratio on this trip 100:1. We found a gas station so I changed my clothes, brushed my teeth, and began to feel human. We had showered every day of the trip so far, so it was about time we roughed it a little. Lindsay fixed herself as well and we headed out. We stopped at the Jackson Lake Dam… a beautiful spot where the Grand Teton Mountain Range reflected on the crystal waters. We headed south to Jackson Hole. Lindsay dawdled, again with the stupid bird pictures. (Sidenote: According to Lindsay, she knew it was going to be a long trip(one which would make me mad)…yes 30 minutes of TAKING PICTURES OF BIRDS, she found me in the car with my mad face on…because I had to go look for her, although she did RUN back to car….and her predictions were right..I was mad.) We did a brief stop in the town of Jackson, a charming tourist spot with little shops and the “Million Dollar Cowboy Bar”. We had a lot of driving to do, to make it to Glacier National Park by sundown, so we got to cruising. Leaving Wyoming entering Idaho found us with more mountain driving. We stopped at the state line, took a photo, and Lindsay had to pee again, so she did it in the woods on the state line. There you go, cross that off the list…some people just want to be in two places at once, Lindsay wants to pee in two places at once. So far Idaho, is umm boring. Flat lands… maybe potato land. Luckily we only have a little slice of Idaho before we enter Montana…. and hopefully find a Wal-mart to restock on supplies.
